Meet Dwan
I provide quality individual, couple, and family therapy to youth (ages 16 and up) and adults, and have 18 years of experience.
I received a PhD in marriage and family therapy from Northcentral University. I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW-S) – graduate of Denver University; and a graduate of the University of Missouri (B.A., Psychology).
I am a certified anxiety and trauma therapist (EMDR), and relationship expert (PhD. in marriage and family therapy and LCSW-S) with over 19 years of experience. I provide individual, couple, and family therapy. I’m an herbology student, and a yoga, and natural health enthusiast. Many of my clients are seeking alternatives other than prescription medication for anxiety and depression. I’m not just EMDR “trained”, but also certified with advanced hours in trauma.
I am one of the few practicing ecotherapists in the United States. Ecotherapy, also known as nature therapy, is a formal type of therapeutic treatment which involves performing psychotherapeutic activities, undertaken with an ecological consciousness or intent, often utilizing natural settings, activities or processes as an integral part of the therapeutic process. I am CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) trained and a certified facilitator for Prepare/Enrich (marital & premarital). I help couples successfully work through conflict and achieve the relationship that they both desire. I am happily married and the mother of 2 young adults and two fur babies. I come from a Christian framework.
I’m an adjunct for Fordham University Graduate School of Social Work and a Texas LCSW Board approved supervisor. I’m currently seeing clients online. Read more about my practice at dwanreed.com and Youtube channel
